The card for WrestleMania 42 is taking shape, and a new report suggests that it could have a hefty load of matches. BodySlam+ has published a new report after talking with sources that notes that April’s two-night PLE will feature at least 14 bouts between the two nights.
The site does not lay out the specific matches, but the report notes that another source indicated that the show could have as many as 16 matches with the earlier start time. That would be up from last year’s show, which had a total of 14 matches among the two nights. WrestleMania 40 also had 14 total matches.
If the show does in fact have 16 bouts, it would be the most for a WrestleMania since 2022 when WrestleMania 38 had a total of 16 — seven on night one and nine on night two. The current card for this year’s show stands at five matches, as you can see below.
WrestleMania 42 is set to take place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally.
