Dominik Mysterio pulled off a major heist on tonight’s Lucha Libre AAA show, as he secured a match for the AAA Mega Championship at Héroes Immortales.

Tonight’s edition of AAA opened with a segment featuring Mega Champion El Grande Americano, Dominik Mysterio, Dorian Roldan, Omos, and Rey Mysterio.

During the segment, Roldan expressed his displeasure with Rey counting the pinfall during the AAA Mega Championship match between Americano and Dom at Triplemania 34 and demanded the decision be reversed.

Americano subsequently issued a challenge for the show’s main event, proposing a tag team match, pitting him and Rey against Dominik and Omos and adding a stipulation that Dom would get a rematch for the championship at Héroes Immortales if he and Omos win the tag team match. Conversely, Dom would never get a shot at the Mega Title as long as El Grande is champion if his team lost.

The final stages of a chaotic main event saw Dominik unmask his father and attack Americano with the Mega Championship belt to secure a pinfall over El Grande and a rematch at the upcoming event. Dom attacked Rey and Americano after the match and held the AAA Mega Title and Rey’s mask to close out the show.

The 18th edition of AAA Héroes Immortales will take place at Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City, Mexico, on Saturday, October 24.
