Eddie Edwards recently commented on his upcoming match against TNA World Champion Mike Santana.

Edwards will challenge Santana for the TNA World Title in the main event of the Rebellion pay-per-view in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 11.

The match came into being after TNA Wrestling announced this past Monday that Edwards would be cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase against Santana at Rebellion.

Edwards brawled with Santana last Friday night at Sacrifice after the TNA World Title match between the defending champion and Steve Maclin was abruptly stopped due to a suspected injury to the challenger.

In a recent conversation with the Generation of Wrestling Podcast, Eddie Edwards was asked about his thoughts leading into the main event match at TNA Rebellion. Edwards said that he can’t wait to experience the adrenaline rush that comes with headlining a big-ticket event and giving his all in the ring, something he also expects from his opponent.

Eddie Edwards reveals his mindset ahead of World Title match at TNA Rebellion 2026

“It’s the main event of one of our biggest shows of the year. It’s Rebellion, and any time you’re in a main event of a big show, you get to feel that pressure. Going into it, I enjoy being in those spots. This is the pressure that we all want. You know what I mean? These are the moments that there’s all the hard work that we do. We want to be in those top-billed matches on pay-per-view, and that’s what the situation is. You know, going into it, I’m just going out there, and there’s these matches where you go in knowing that when you walk to the back, you know, when the match is over, you know you’re going to be beat up. You’re going to be bruised. You’re going to be exhausted. You’re going to feel that adrenaline pumping; that’s what I look forward to in a match like this. I want to feel that coming from the back.

“I want to feel like I left it all out there. You know what I mean? Because I know I will. I know Santana will. He’s been a great champion, there’s no denying that. He’s worked his a** off for it, but I know we’re both in there together. We have a similar mindset where we’re going to leave it all out there. We are, we are the main event in Cleveland, Ohio, [at] Rebellion. Like, let’s leave it all out there. Let’s bust our a** and leave it out there. So I’m looking forward to that feeling of pure exhaustion when I walk to the back and a feeling of true accomplishment. That is my goal, and, of course, feeling as a world champion walking out of there.”
