El Grande Americano vs. Hijo Del Vikingo Set For AAA Show Next Month

El Grand Americano and Hijo Del Vikingo will face off at a Lucha Libre AAA event late next month. Saturday night’s Heroes Inmortales show opened with a segment between the two in the ring. Vikingo kicked the main card with a promo in which he shut down the audience chanting for Alberto El Patron. Vikingo told them to “get over it” before he referred to himself as the Canelo Alvarez of AAA and vowed to recapture the Mega Championship.

Americano then came out to the ring and took shots at Vikingo, noting that he’s like Alvarez in that he lost in Las Vegas. The two went back and forth and it set up a match at the company’s November 28th event. They ended up brawling until security broke it up.

The AAA event in question is part of the company’s Gira Alianzas tour and will take place in Puebla, Mexico. You can see a clip from last night’s segment below.

Vikingo was the AAA Mega Champion for 104 days in his second title reign, which lasted from May to September. He lost the title to Dominik Mysterio at Worlds Collide: Las Vegas. Americano battled Vikingo in a four-way match for the Mega Title at TripleMania XXXIII alongside Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee.
