Finn Balor Hopes To Work With CM Punk Again: ‘Super Professional, Nice Guy’

Finn Balor says that despite early concerns from people backstage in WWE, CM Punk has been great to work with and he hopes to do so again. Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, and there was an immediate reaction of skepticism in WWE, both on and off camera. Punk of course has always been a polarizing figure and was heavily criticized during his AEW run, but Balor says that he’s been great since he returned.

Balor spoke about Punk during an appearance on Off the Ball and said that thus far, Punk has been very different than what people were concerned about.

“There was a lot of, like, concerns that when he was coming back in,” Balor began (per Wrestling Inc). “Like, ‘is this going to be the Punk of old that you’ve heard all these horror stories about, or is it going to be a different person?’ And I experienced a completely different person.”

Balor added, “He’s super professional, nice guy, and great to work with. And hopefully I get the chance to work with him again in the future.”

Punk and Balor had a feud at the start of the year that ran from mid-January to WWE Elimination Chamber. Punk’s well-known real-life animosity with certain stars have been played into WWE storylines including Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and currently Kevin Owens, who will face Punk on Friday night’s episode of WWE Smackdown for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
