Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced that part of Clearwater Trail in Florida is set to be renamed in honor of Hulk Hogan. It will be called Hogan Trail and include red and yellow signs. The official announcement reads:
HULKAMANIA IS RUNNING WILD ON THE CLEARWATER TRAIL
HULK HOGAN TRAIL has been established on a two-mile portion of the Clearwater Trail from Oak Avenue to Coronado Drive.
It will feature outdoor exercise equipment in Hulk’s trademark red and yellow colors and support local recreation and fitness activities for residents and visitors of all ages.
HULK HOGAN TRAIL will honor the lasting legacy of Hulk Hogan and his commitment to local tourism, charitable initiatives like youth mentorships and sports programs, and various wellness, education, and community development programs.
FLORIDA WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL FOR THE HULKSTER’S IMPACT ON THE TAMPA BAY REGION:
Meanwhile, DeSantis noted on his Facebook page: “Today, I was joined by family and friends of Hulk Hogan to celebrate his extraordinary life and legacy. It was an honor to be in Pinellas County this morning to dedicate a two-mile portion of the Clearwater Trail as the “Hulk Hogan Trail.” In true Hulk fashion, red and yellow signage will line the trail from Oak Avenue to Coronado Drive, and we’re also installing exercise equipment for all ages to enjoy. Although he is no longer with us, Hulk Hogan’s legacy continues to live on, especially in the Tampa Bay area that he called home.”
