Hikaru Shida Returns On AEW Collision, Challenges Willow Nightingale For TBS Title

Hikaru Shida made her return to TV on this week’s AEW Collision, coming out and accepting Willow Nightingale’s open challenge for the TBS Championship. Nightingale hosted an open challenge for her title on the special Thursday night showing of this week’s Collision.

The challenge was accepted by Shida, who came to the ring to a pop from the crowd. The two went back and forth in the ring for about nine and a half minutes before Nightingale got the pinfall with a backslide. You can see highlights from the match below.

Hikaru Shida, who is a three-time former AEW Women’s World Champion, last appeared in AEW on the November 20, 2024 edition of Dynamite. She lost a match on that show to Kris Statlander. Shida wrestled multiple matches in Japan last year.

Nightingale has been TBS Champion for 93 days. She captured the title at AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash 2025 when she defeated Mercedes Mone.
