Kenny Omega Reveals He Did Motion Capture Work as Alex for Street Fighter 6

With the recent reveal of Alex joining the Street Fighter 6 roster later this year, AEW star Kenny Omega revealed via social media that he did motion capture work for the Capcom video game title, including working on characters like Alex.
Commenting on the Alex reveal trailer, Omega wrote, “It’s almost like looking in a mirror 🥹😉” Omega later confirmed that he did mocap work for Alex in the video game.
Kenny Omega wrote, “Incredibly happy to announce that I’ve done some big mocap work as Alex in Street Fighter 6. Can’t wait for you all to see more, he’s my favorite character in Street Fighter 👀”
The 42-year-old former AEW World Champion also looks to be 100% and back to his winning ways again. On last night’s AEW Dynamite, Omega beat Josh Alexander in a singles bout. It was his first one-on-one matchup since July 2025.
Meanwhile, Alex officially joins the Street Fighter 6 roster on March 17.
