Kenny Omega will seek to get revenge on Josh Alexander during next week’s AEW Dynamite. AEW confirmed on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite that Omega and Alexander will compete in singles competition on next week’s show.
The match was set up earlier in the show when Omega said he was looking to get back into the AEW World Championship scene. He noted that he needed to get wins and the Don Callis Family came out. Callis suggested that Omega battle Alexander, who was facing Kota Ibushi when the latter star broke his leg. Omega agreed to the match, but Callis said it would not happen tonight and instead said it would take place next week.
This is Omega’s first singles match since AEW All In: Texas in July. It’s the only match confirmed for next week’s Dynamite, which takes place from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. The show airs live on TBS and HBO Max.
