Killer Kelly made a quick return to the ring after she gave birth, something the TNA Knockout recently reflected on in an interview. The former Knockouts Champion announced that she and Myron Reed were expecting in September of 2024. Kelly gave birth in November of that year, and she returned to the company at Against All Odds in June.
Kelly said down with Gia Miller on TNA Explosion to talk about her return and more. She noted that she wrestled for a bit, including a deathmatch, before she realized she was pregnant. You can see the highlights below:
On Becoming a Mom and Getting Back In the Ring So Quickly:
“Well, that was crazy. It was definitely crazy. Like, I didn’t expect to come back this quick? Like, it was literally seven months on the dot post-partum.”
On Being Pregnant While Still Wrestling:
“From finding out that I was pregnant — I was still wrestling while pregnant. I didn’t know. I was champion here in TNA while pregnant. And I didn’t know… I even did kind of a deathmatch in REVOLVER while pregnant.”
On Returning So Quick To Training:
“Two months postpartum, I was already in the ring. Doing just rolls. One week postpartum, I was at the gym…. It was one week, gym. Two months in ring, starting to do rolls. Four months, bumping; seven months, back in TNA.”
