Kyle Fletcher Not Yet Cleared For In-Ring Return Following Injuries

Kyle Fletcher may be back on AEW TV, but the star says he still has not been medically cleared for an in-ring return following the injuries he suffered earlier this year.
Fletcher returned at AEW Double or Nothing during a surprise appearance that saw him attack Konosuke Takeshita and deliver a brainbuster. The segment immediately sparked questions about whether Fletcher had officially returned to active competition.
However, Kyle Fletcher later clarified in a recent vlog that he is still waiting for final medical clearance before wrestling again. According to him, the injury he suffered on the March 28 episode of AEW Collision resulted in a torn meniscus, a fractured tibia, and a fractured ankle. He explained that surgery was initially considered a serious possibility after the injury happened. Fortunately, Fletcher said doctors later determined surgery would not be necessary (via Fightful).
“My PT [Physical therapist] pretty much gave me the all clear. We had a last session, but that doesn’t technically mean I’m cleared to return to the ring, but now I can go back to work and start the process of the AEW doctors clearing me to get back in the ring, which is what we’ve been waiting for,” he said.
While he said he has been cleared to return to AEW in a general capacity, he stressed that this does not mean he is cleared to wrestle matches yet. At this stage, no official timetable has been announced for his wrestling return.
His appearance at Double or Nothing marked his first televised involvement since the March injury setback.
