As previously reported, AEW World Champion MJF has been outspoken in his criticism of TNA Wrestling and company president, Carlos Silva, for the recent pulling of wrestlers from scheduled indie events, where some would be facing AEW-contracted talent, with MJF calling the move “disgusting.”

TNA producer Lance Storm responded to MJF’s complaints on today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live. Storm pointed out that MJF telling fans not to support TNA Wrestling would also hurt the wrestlers he was voicing his complaints in support of.

Storm said in response to MJF’s comments, “I would like to point out that if he thinks not letting them wrestle AEW talent on indie shows is taking food out of their mouths, I would say MJF saying, ‘Don’t support that company,’ is also taking food out of their mouths.”

When co-host Bryan Alvarez said TNA’s statement on the matter is because of “partner conflicts,” which Alvarez says, “sounds like WWE, in fact, what else would it be?” Storm responded, “I think that is our partner,” referring to WWE’s ongoing partnership with TNA Wrestling.

According to Alvarez, TNA’s new decree on the matter is that TNA wrestlers can work on the same independent shows as AEW wrestlers. However, they are not allowed to work matches against each other.
