Lita Would Like A Title Rivalry With Rhea Ripley, In Contrast To Her Story With Stratus & Lynch
Speaking recently with WrestleRant, WWE’s Lita expressed that while the involvement of a title belt isn’t always necessary for a good rivalry or story arc, she also would like to chase down Rhea Ripley in a narrative with championship stakes on the line (via Wrestling Inc). Lita contrasted that story concept with her focus on the current events surrounding Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, and herself. You can find a few highlights from Lita and watch the full interview below.
On how a potential rivalry with Ripley might play out for her: “I would want that one to involve the title. She’s an incredible talent, I would love to work with her because it would really push me. It would push me to get beyond my comfort zone and I feel like I’ve been satisfied with what I’ve done in this chapter, but I’d love to see how far I can take it.”
On the difference in dynamics for her story with Stratus and Lynch: “We’ve gotta put some emotion in there and we would constantly be throwing out ideas, something like this makes sense. Sure, a championship is great, but that’s built in. So to have a high-profile storyline where it is just emotional based, and there are so many different ways [it can go], the history is so rich.”
