MJF Retains AEW World Championship Against Bandido In AEW Dynamite Main Event

MJF remains your AEW World Champion, defeating Bandido after a hard-fought match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. MJF put his title on the line against the ROH WOrld Champion on Wednesday’s show. Bandido put forth a valiant effort and had a number of nearfalls on the champion during the match. While he got close, MJF was able to take over at the end and made Bandido pass out to the LaBell Lock.

After the match, the champion said that while he laughed at the notion at first, he now knew that Bandido wouild be a World Champion in AEW some day. He said that was why he had to do what he did next, attacking Bandido with the title. MJF went to rip Bandido’s mask off, but Brody King made the save and MJF ran to the back. King helped Bandido up and posed with him to close the show.

You can see highlights from the match below. MJF’s title reign, his second, stands at 19 days. He defeated Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End to win the title.
