As previously reported, Moose announced that he was going to ‘take a step back’ following his loss to Leon Slater at TNA Slammiversary on Sunday. During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that the former X Division champion suffered an injury during the match.
Moose sustained the injury early in his match following a flip dive from the apron to the floor. Alvarez noted that Moose “bounced” off the ringside mat but quickly got back to his feet. Despite the impact, he continued the match while dealing with the injury, which led to several planned spots being cut. The injury is believed to be back-related. It’s unknown when Moose will return to TNA programming.
