Nick Khan Says Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns Have ‘Earned the Right’ To Do Film & TV Projects

Nick Khan recently weighed in on how WWE signs off on talent doing outside projects like film and television. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are starring in Street Fighter, which hits screens this weekend. Khan spoke with The New York Times for a feature about WWE talent becoming film stars, and during the piece he spoke about the company’s approach to talent doing outside projects.

“If past is prologue, the bigger that these guys can become outside of the WWE, the bigger they become inside WWE,” Khan said. “That’s good for everybody. Both [Reigns & Rhodes] have earned the right to do outside projects with WWE’s buy-in and support.”

Khan said that for other talent, WWE will review opportunities for film and TV on a case by case basis.

A number of WWE stars have done such work in recent years including Drew McIntyre in the upcoming films Highlander and The Last Druid, Liv Morgan in Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo and more. Street Fighter hits theaters on Friday.
