Penta Says He Tried To Use Money in the Bank Gear Previously But Wasn’t Allowed

Penta says that his gear at WWE Money in the Bank was a set he previously tried to use, but was not allowed to. Penta was victorious at Saturday night’s show in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and came down to the ring in gear with colors inspired by The Joker. He had previously used the gear in AEW.

Penta spoke about his gear on WWE Now’s Money in the Bank recap show and said he tried to use it before but couldn’t “for some reason” and decided to save it for Money in the Bank. He joked that the gear fits the green Money in the Bank briefcase and teased potentially customizing the briefcase like others have in the past. You can see highlights below:

“Actually, it was an accident. Because you know — so I tried to use this gear before. But for some reason, I can’t, so I said, ‘Okay, maybe I save for Money In The Bank — maybe. I don’t know when, but maybe I save this gear. And, bro, this is the result.”

On the Gear Fitting With the Briefcase:

“Bro, its [in] combination with my gear now. Actually, this briefcase is part of my new outfit. [laughs]”

On If He Will Customize the Briefcase:

“This is a good question, but this is a big surprise. Because this is my first time I get Money in the Bank, right? [It] will be very special too. But this is a big surprise. Step by step.”
