Priscilla Kelly is still having fun on the indies, but she also says she’d like to possibly go to AEW in the new year. Kelly was Gigi Dolin for four years in WWE until she was released in May. She has been busy on the indie scene since returning there in June, working with GCW, HOG, TJPW and more.

Kelly spoke with Denise Salcedo for a new interview and spoke about working the independents again. She noted during the interview that she’s still focused on having fun. However, she added she might like to work with AEW next year. Kelly previously worked three matches for AEW including the Casino Battle Royale at All In 2019. You can see highlights below:

On Adjusting Back To the Independents:

“The only thing that I don’t like about it is the unpredictable travel situations, and the very early flights and late nights. That’s the hardest part of the job. But as far as the wrestling and everything I’ve been doing, I’ve been happier than ever. I’ve been non-stop since I made my return in June. I have been booked and busy every single weekend, doing as much as I possibly can. I haven’t taken a break, so it’s been a lot. It’s been a little overwhelming at times, but I feel like I’ve adjusted right back to it.

“The indies were where I was the most comfortable. And I’ve gotten to go back to TJPW in Japan and it’s — I’m in my element. I’m most comfortable when I’m doing my own thing, when I’m creating my own path, and when I’m doing things my way. And not to say that I can’t do television wrestling and style, and things like that. But as far as what I needed mentally after WWE, this is what I needed. I needed the freedom to just have fun, do what I want to do, wrestle like I want to wrestle again. And I’ve loved it, I’ve loved it. Again, it’s been tiring. My body is definitely beat up. But I feel so much more satisfied, I guess, right now with what I’m doing. So yeah, it’s it’s been a lot of fun.”

On Her Future Plans and Goals:

So all summer long — I haven’t done a lot of interviews. But the ones that I have done, I’ve told everybody my main goal right now is just having fun. And that’s still my goal. I still want to have fun. But I think coming out of this year and going into 2026, I think I’d really like to maybe go to AEW. I think there’s a lot of stuff that was left on the table. I did some some stuff for AEW before I got signed to WWE. And I don’t know, I just always felt like there was something left on the table over there, and I never got to really have my time.”

On If She’s Talked To Anyone In AEW:

“No, not really. I’ve also just been really busy and I’ve also — I haven’t been in a rush to go back to a television program, because I just got out of four years of a very strict and kind of controlling television program. So I kind of just been in the mindset of, ‘I’m not in a rush to go back to TV.’ Because I just want to have fun. I want to find myself again. And I want to enjoy my life again, not be owned by anybody.

“But I think like long-term goals, I would like to see myself go back to a large platform where I can express myself. And I do think AEW is more of the type of place where you can express yourself a little bit more individually. And like I say, pros and cons. That can be a blessing, or that can be someone’s downfall. And I think it’s cool that over there, it just seems like you have a little bit more control on where that road can take you. Because they allow a little bit more individuality, I will say. But either way, I’m happy and excited for whatever the future brings at this point. I’m in a really good headspace. And I don’t know, I think I’ve just been doing some really fun stuff.”
