New Report Clarifies Trey Miguel’s Claim That Rascalz Got Cease & Desist From Disney

Trey Miguel claimed earlier this week that The Rascalz received a cease and desist order from Disney over their TNA Slammiversary 2024 ring gear, and a new report clarifies the matter. Miguel made the statement during a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, stating that the group’s Buzz Lightyear-inspired ring gear at the TNA event led to a legal letter from Disney.

“This was my Buzz Lightyear gear,” Miguel said (per Fightful). “Also, this got us a cease and desist from Disney, which was fun. And Spirit Airlines lost that gear.”

Fightful Select reports that the group did not actually get a cease and desist. Rather, TNA was simply worried that they would get one over the ring gear.

Miguel, Zachary Wentz, and Dezmond Zavier (then Wes Lee) faced the No Quarter Catch Crew at the July 2024 show and picked up the win. Xavier, Wentz, and Myron Reed are all now part of the AEW Roster, with Miguel having briefly signed there before being released on the orders of someone above the AEW level. The release was made over past comments Miguel had made on social media.

Miguel returned to TNA in short order and won the International Championship at No Surrender on Friday last week.
