Rey Mysterio Returns On WWE Raw To Confront Dominik

Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE Raw in order to serve a bit of humble pie to his son Dominik. The elder Mysterio appeared on Monday’s episode, interrupting a promo by the WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion.

Dominik came out to the ring and crowed about his victory at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He called himself the greatest holder of his respective titles and the greatest luchador ever. Rey then came down to the ring and said that he had to draw the line at Dom calling himself the greatest luchador. He accused Dom of insulting their family and blood, mentioning El Santo, Blue Demon, and Eddie Guerrero.

Dominik then told Rey to keep his “father” Eddie’s name out of his mouth and said he’s better than Rey. Rey said Dom could disrespect him, but not lucha libre. The two went back and forth bit before Rey went to leave. Before he left, he told Dom that as long as Rey was around he would never be King of the Luchadors nor the greatest Mysterio.

Dominik tried to punch Rey but was sent into the ropes. Rey then hit the 619 and Dom bailed.

Rey has been off TV since he appeared at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide. The elder Mysterio appeared to fulfill a promise to present the Mega Champion to then-new champion Dominik. He had been out of action since suffering a groin tear on the April 18th episode of Smackdown.
