Robert Stone Appointed Interim General Manager On WWE NXT

Robert Stone is taking over on a temporary basis in WWE NXT, with Shawn Michaels appointing him interim General Manager on this week’s show after Ava’s exit. As you likely know, Ava announced her exit from WWE late last week. Her departure from the company left the NXT brand without a figurehead, as she had been General Manager for the brand since early 2024.
The start of Tuesday night’s episode featured NXT boss Shawn Michaels in the General Manager’s office. Stone walked into the room and Michaels appointed him the interim General Manager of the brand. Michaels said that Stone has done everything that’s been asked of him for the last seven years, and he is being made General Manager for the time being.
Stone has been with WWE since 2019 and began as a manager, working with the likes of Chelsea Green, Aliyah, Mercedes Martinez, Von Wagner, and Sofia Cromwell (now Maxxine Dupri) in the Robert Stone Brand. He was eventually appointed Assistant General Manager alongside the now-departed Stevie Turner. He has also made appearances in TNA as part of the NXT and TNA alliance.
No word on whether Stone will be made a permanent General Manager, nor who might replace him if not. You can see a clip of the segment below.
