– Speaking to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, former TNA Wrestling (formerly Impact Wrestling) President Scott D’Amore revealed that at one point, he had a non-compete clause with TNA Wrestling after leaving the company earlier this year. D’Amore revealed that originally after leaving TNA, he did have a non-compete period. However, they were ultimately able to work out a deal to allow him to start working on the newly formed Maple Leaf Wrestling Promotion.

The report notes that Scott D’Amore is being paid for a full year for his severance by TNA Wrestling after his earlier exit. His non-compete reportedly would’ve extended a full year as well before D’Amore and TNA were able to work out a deal that left him start his new promotion.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will hold its two-night Forged in Excellence event this weekend from October 18-19. The shows will be held at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. They will stream live on TrillerTV.
