AEW’s efforts to secure more frequent appearances from Syuri and Sareee have stalled, with scheduling conflicts in Japan taking priority for both wrestlers. According to backstage indications shared during a recent Fightful Select Q&A, Syuri’s debut at All In raised internal expectations that she could become a semi-regular presence in 2025, but Stardom remains her “top priority.”

Even so, AEW sources maintain that the relationship is positive; conversations haven’t ended, and she could come back in the future. Sareee faces a similar scenario. Her AEW and ROH outings have been irregular, not due to disinterest but because of a packed Japanese calendar that recently added a TJPW Grand Princess 2026 booking. The impression behind the scenes is that neither wrestler is finished with AEW. According to Sean Ross Sapp, Sareee could even reappear in AEW/ROH in 2026 in some capacity.

Their resumes fuel ongoing interest. Syuri blends a legitimate MMA background with top-tier Stardom accolades. Sareee brings a championship pedigree, including an IWGP Women’s Title win directly over Syuri. That combination of authenticity and international polish aligns with AEW’s long-stated goal of elevating the joshi identity on Western TV. Despite limited usage, internal feedback highlights both names as high-value additions whenever dates align.
