Tama Tonga Reportedly Fined For Posting WWE Rehearsal Video Online

Tama Tonga has been fined by WWE for posting a video of rehearsals last week, according to a new report. Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast reports that the MFT member posted a video of rehearsals last week. Tonga has previously posted behind the scenes content to his Instagram and TikTok accounts. The video is no longer on Tonga’s TikTok account where it was originally shared but has proliferated online after being reposted by a number of users.
According to Zarian, the word backstage at tonight’s Smackdown that Tonga was fined for violating an “unwritten rule” about not recording or posting material from rehearsals. Zarian said he was told it was a “significant” fine.
Tonga is the a member of the MFTs on WWE Smackdown. He is the current co-holder of the WWE Tag Team Championships alongside his MFT leader Solo Sikoa. Tonga and Sikoa are set to defend the titles against Damian Priest and R-Truth on tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown airs live on USA Network domestically, as well as on Netflix internationally. As per the norm, 411 will have live coverage of the show kicking off at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT.
