Trick Williams Reflects On Chemistry With Lil Yachty, Teases Yachty Getting In Ring

Trick Williams has found an ally in rapper Lil Yachty, who he teased might be getting in the ring at some point soon-ish. Yachty has been at Williams’ side since the run-up to WrestleMania 42, and even helped him get a new customized WWE United States Championship earlier this month.
Yachty has been a big part of Williams’ appearances on WWE TV, and the US Champion was asked in an interview with Rompipallone about their chemistry together. Williams noted that they have a shared love of the business and are friends, noting that they are making sure Yachty will “be ready” when he has matches. You can see the highlights below:
On Not Being Strictly Heel or Babyface:
“Man, you know the thing for me is — and I can only speak for myself; I can’t speak for everybody else. I don’t want to put myself in a box where, ‘Oh, I’m good and I do good all the time,’ or, ‘I’m bad and I just do bad things and think bad things.’ You know, I’m human. That means sometimes I’m good, sometimes I’m bad. In some people’s story I may be the villain. In some people’s story, I may be the hero. Now, I can live with either or. As long as the people, then I’m happy.”
On His Alliance With Lil Yachty:
“I think it works because he loves the business. He loves wrestling, he’s been watching wrestling his whole life. Trick Williams loves the business; he’s been watching wrestling a very long time. And we both want to be great. Not only do we want to be great, we want to be the best out here. So, I think that helps a lot with our dynamic.
“And on top of that, and most importantly, we’re friends. Like, that’s my boy, you know what I mean? ‘It’s, ‘Man, I want to see my friend do well,’ and he wants to see his friend do well. So of course, he going to have my back; of course, I’m going to have his back. We training together. We making sure that he’s going to be ready to have his matches, tag team matches, singles matches, championship matches. He’s going to live out his dream as well. So, it’s been a beautiful connection.”
