Triple H Announces Date & Location for WWE Backlash 2026

Ahead of today’s WWE Royal Rumble, WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced the details for WWE Backlash 2026. This year’s Backlash will take place on May 9 in Tampa, Florida. The event will be held at the Benchmark International Arena.
May 9 puts the event at about three weeks following WrestleMania 42, which takes place on April 18-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets will go on sale for WWE Backlash at a later date.
Triple H made the announcement live from the KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where WWE Royal Rumble 2026 is being held. You can see his video announcement below:
