Vince McMahon Reportedly ‘Overruled’ By Ari Emanuel Over WWE Creative
As previously reported, Vince McMahon no longer has any involvement in WWE creative, as Triple H is in charge of that aspect of the company. A report noted that Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel made the decision, as he believes people need to do the specific jobs that they are assigned. That means Triple H in creative and Vince McMahon focusing of business. In the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that McMahon was ‘overruled’ by Emanuel and is finding himself in a similar position as his father years ago.
It was noted that when McMahon bought the then-WWF from his father decades ago, he was in charge while his father was moved to an office job. Meltzer said that McMahon’s power in the company has been “limited” and “marginalized” after the merger with UFC.
Meltzer said: “McMahon was the guy making all the decisions, and now, Vince was in fact overruled, even though when he merged the company he was told this would not happen. It did happen. It’s a really interesting thing and that statement when Ari Emanuel was talking about the reasons the stock is down, and he mentioned Vince’s name. It is very interesting. I think what is going to happen. But Vince’s power’s clearly marginalized. There’s no way around that.“
