According to PWInsider, WWE ultimately made the decision to make Drake Maverick the team’s manager because they wanted a mouthpiece and manager for the team. During the show, former WWE writer Kevin Eck stated his opinion that Maverick was grouped with AOP because Vince McMahon probably thinks they don’t look right together.
