WWE Releases Longtime Composer Jim Johnston

December 1, 2017 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

– WWE recently released longtime composer Jim Johnston. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Johnston, who composed some of WWE’s most memorable entrance themes of all-time, was recently given his release. The site says that while the reason for the release isn’t known, it does not appear to have been a mutual decision.

Johnston has worked with WWE since 1985 and composed the themes for Steve Austin, D-Generation X, Ultimate Warrior, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Vince McMahon, Mankind and many more. He also composed the scores for WWE Studio films Legendary, Knucklehead, and The Chaperone.

WWE has been using the duo CFO$ as of late for the majority of their entrance themes.
