WWE Shuts Down Logan Paul Open Challenge for Boxing Match Against NFL Players

As previously reported, WWE Superstar Logan Paul was feeling pretty bold, and he offered an open challenge to the NFL players he’s recently been feuding with. That includes a $1 million open bet to any player.

However, during an appearance on the Happy Punch podcast, Paul received a call from someone at WWE, named “Chris,” who informed Paul that he’s “not allowed to box any NFL players,” as Paul would be taking too many “unnecessary risks” and the WWE doesn’t want him to get injured.”

Chris is initially heard saying on the call after it’s put on speaker, “I know, but it’s just unnecessary risk. Like, you don’t know if you slip, you fall. I mean, we don’t want to risk any injury.”

Responding to a disappointed Logan Paul, Chris responded, “I get it. We appreciate all the hype, right? Like, you’re doing your thing, that’s great, but like, we can’t have you box. You’re full-time WWE…” As previously reported, Logan Paul recently signed a new long-term WWE deal, and he’s now a full-time WWE Superstar.

Paul protested Chris’ remarks, saying, “Bro, these guys cannot box! They’re football players! There’s no risk!” Paul tried to offer WWE a cut of his winnings. Chris responded, “We’re good. We just prefer you not to be boxing.”

Logan Paul Acquiesces to WWE

After ending the call with Chris, Paul explained that he can’t move forward with the boxing matches due to the wishes of WWE. He stated, “At the end of the day, I’m a WWE Superstar, and my loyalty is with the WWE.” He continued, “If I do not have their blessing to do some extracurricular activities that are unrelated to the WWE, like boxing, as much as I would like to do it, I got to honor my job and my commitment to my profession.”
