WWE Will Return to Canada In August

The nation of Canada has long been known as one of the strongest wrestling markets in the world. Many of the greatest wrestlers of the last few generations have hailed from the Great White North, and WWE has been running shows in the country’s biggest cities regularly since the 1980s. On Monday morning, WWE announced when they will return to the province of Ontario.
WWE announced the following dates on their website:
Thursday, Aug. 20: London, Ontario, Canada Life Place | WWE Summer Tour
Friday, Aug. 21: Toronto, Scotiabank Arena | Friday Night SmackDown
Monday, Aug: 24: Ottawa, Canadian Tire Centre | Monday Night Raw
Friday Night SmackDown last took place in Canada on January 23rd in Montreal, while Raw was in Toronto on January 26. They surrounded a presentation of Saturday Night’s Main Event that also took place in Montreal. WWE mentioned their partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment in their press release, MLSE runs the Scotiabank Arena and owns the Toronto Maple Leafs & Raptors.
Tickets for all three events will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10:00 AM Eastern via ticketmaster.ca.
