– BxB Hulk successfully made his first defense of the new Open The Freedom Gate Title yesterday against Susumu Yokosuka in Sapporo, Japan.

– BxB Hulk became the first Open The Freedom Gate Champion just over one week ago by winning a tournament at the Dragon Gate USA pay-per-view taping in Philadelphia on 11/28. Hulk’s first defense was set for 1/23 in Chicago vs. Dragon Kid. However, when Hulk got back to Japan, Yokosuka made an immediate challenge. The match was quickly signed by DGUSA officials.

– BxB Hulk, now with his first defense under his belt, will put the title on the line against Dragon Kid on the 1/23 DGUSA event in Chicago. There will be more match announcements for 1/23 at www.DGUSA.tv this week.

– Masaaki Mochizuki defeated Davey Richards on Sunday in Sapporo to win the Full Impact Pro World Heavyweight Title.
