Tremendous Tirades Throwback: ECW One Night Stand II (2006)

We begin the PPV with RABID ECW fans chanting away. The ECW theme hits and PAUL E is out. He gets much love from the crowd as you can imagine with “PAUL E” chants.

Kurt gets a toss and then off the ropes…back elbow by Orton. Orton covers and gets 2. Eye poke by Orton, Irish whip and Kurt hits the corner hard. Orton steps on the back of his head now, covers and gets 2. Snap mare by Orton and a rear headlock. Kurt reverses it and gets a half nelson, rolls him and gets 2. Kurt in control and gets the rear mount again. Elbow by Orton and he escapes. Rear choke by Orton, and Kurt drops to a knee and then down. We get boring chants now as Kurt fights to his feet. Head butts by Orton and then an elbow. Kurt sidesteps him and gets a release German! Both men are down as the ref counts. Up at 7 and uppercuts by Orton. Then from Kurt. Kurt gets the ropes and a forearm to the back of the head. GERMAN…another…and the 3rd! Kurt stalks him…Angle Slam countered and then a dropkick by Orton. He covers and gets 2. Rear choke, reversal and a belly to back by Kurt. STRAPS DOWN! ANGLE SLAM! 1…2…NO! Kurt gets the ankle lock! Orton rolls and escapes. Cool Orton back breaker and a cover for 2. Orton sets…RKO countered, but he gets a back elbow to Kurt. Orton goes up top…Kurt runs up, but Orton tosses him off. Cross body off the top and Kurt rolls through for 2. STIFF clothesline by Orton. He stalks Kurt again…RKO countered…but Orton gets a roll up for 2. ANKLE LOCK! GRAPEVINE! Orton taps!

After the match Orton gets helped from ringside as his ankle is hurt. He needs 2 refs to help him as the crowd chants pussy again.

The FBI (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke) w/ Big Guido vs. Super Crazy and Tajiri

Mamaluke and Crazy to begin. Lock up and they shove off. Lock up again and a go behind from Mamaluke, wristlock by Crazy but Mamaluke reverses into one of his own. Reversal by Crazy and then another reversal. Arm bar by Mamaluke and Tajiri come sin and kicks him in the face. Trip by Crazy and a front facelock. Reversal by Mamaluke, and then a head scissors by Crazy. Off the ropes and a toss by Crazy. Fireman’s carry and a cover for 2 by Crazy. Lock up and a snap mare by Crazy followed by a dropkick. Arm drag by Crazy and off the ropes and a hip toss and arm bar by Mamaluke. Crazy escapes and gets a cover for 2. Crazy picks him up…and slams Mamaluke down. Sit out flapjack by Cray and a standing moonsault for 2. Tag to LG and to Tajiri. Reversals and kicks by Tajiri. Off the ropes and a tilt a whirl by LG into an arm bar. Tajiri gets the ropes and LG stomps away on him. Wristlock and kicks by Tajiri. Arm/leg lock by Tajiri, then rams him to the corner. Tree of woe! Double handspring elbow by Tajiri! Off the ropes and a SICK kick by Tajiri gets 2 as Mamaluke breaks it up. All 4-men are in and Crazy and Tajiri get the DOUBLE TARANTULA~! Big Guido is in and he gets kicks from both. Double dropkick to Big Guido! LG and Mamaluke back in and Crazy gets dumped to the floor and into the crowd! Tajiri fights off the FBI…but they gets a DOUBLE MUSCLE BUSTER for the win.

Rey has the old style Rey trunks on and this is under EXTREME RULES! They both have chairs and stand off. This is under EXTREME RULES~! Single leg by Sabu, but Rey tosses him off. They exchange counters and blow my mind. Sabu goes for a kick by Rey avoids him. They have chairs and have a chair battle! Backdrop by Sabu. AIR SABU~! Drop toehold by Sabu on Rey into the chair. Triple Jump RANA by Rey! 619 misses and Sabu with a basement dropkick. SMASHMOUTH by Sabu and Rey rolls to the floor. Sabu follows and gets a table! Rights by Sabu and he lays Rey on the table. He sets up a chair…Rey gets off and Sabu dives anyway and misses Rey and hits the railing. Rights by Rey now. Tossed back in and Rey gets a moonsault for 2. Mick Foley and Edge and Lita vs. Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer and Beulah

Dreamer and Edge to begin. Shoulder block by Dreamer and a headlock takedown. Edge misses an Enziguri and they stare down. Tag to Foley and he wants Funk. The crowd wants it and they get it! Slaps by Funk and Foley is rocked. Foley says he doesn’t want to be here. Funk grabs him and Edge beats him down and they brawl to the floor. Dreamer tosses Edge and they look for toys. Chair shot and head butts by Funk on Foley. Stiff lefts by Funk and Dreamer uses hardcore toys on Edge. They then isolate Foley and beat him down. Funk holds Foley and Dreamer with a baseball slide to Foley, with the help of a trashcan. Edge rammed to the steel post, but nails Dreamer with the EXTREME cookie sheet. Edge gets a ladder and Foley and Funk continue to brawl. Funk is tossed into the crowd as Edge rams Dreamer with the ladder. He sets it up in the corner, and waits on Dreamer. SPEAR countered into a hip toss into the ladder! Funk and Foley battle as Foley gets rammed into the steel steps. Funk has the ladder now…SPINNING LADDER SPOT! He and Dreamer attack Foley now and slam him down. They set up the ladder and Funk climbs! Edge PUSHES THE LADDER OVER and Funk goes down hard! Edge has Dreamer, but he fights back. Lita low blow Dreamer as Foley beats down Funk. Foley and Edge go for and get a board and lay it out and then get the BARBED WIRE BOARD! They slide it into the ring and SLAM it on Dreamer! They pull it off and Dreamer is hurting. Funk trips Edge and the wire board falls on Foley! Dreamer has it now…sets it in the corner and they have Foley…and whip him, he stops before he hits it and they punch him and SLAM him into the board! Funk with the stiff punches on Foley as Dreamer gets crotched on the steel railing. Edge in on Dreamer now and FUNK takes the wire board! Lita gets some free barbed wire now and gives it to Foley who wraps it around his arm. Fist drop to Funk! He is busted open…MY EYE! MY EYE! Crowd HOT for Funk. Foley grates the wire off his head! MY EYE! MY EYE! They chant, “YOU SICK FUCK” at Foley! The trainer comes out to take Funk to the back! Edge and Foley beat down Dreamer as they chant for Sandman. Barbed wire baseball bat and Foley jacks up Dreamer with it. Lita is in now and they put the bat on Dreamer’s balls and Lita gets a leg drop onto it as Beulah watches on. Foley goes for Socko to a loud chorus of boos. MANDIBLE CLAW ON BEULAH! Dreamer is alive and attacks, but Edge take shim down. Socko on Dreamer…SPEAR onto Dreamer. Edge tells Foley not to cover him yet. They go after Beulah and Edge has her. He goes for a pump handle slam…but FUNK IS BACK ALL BANDAGED UP! Barbed wire bat in tow! Double low blow by Dreamer! Beulah chases Lita as Funk jacks up Foley! Then Edge. He lights the wire on fire~! NAILS FOLEY! Foley is on fire and FALLS THROUGH THE WIRE BOARD ON THE FLOOR! They have to put him out and Edge tosses Funk onto the wire! Dreamer is up…DDT! He has wire…CROSSFACE WITH THE WIRE! Lita makes the save, Beulah in…CAT FIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! They brawl now. Dreamer has Lita! SPICOLI DRIVER ON LITA! He and Beulah pose! Edgucution with the wire! SPEAR ON BEULAH! He covers her 1…2…3.

Balls up top… Tanaka nails him…he follows, suplex and a count for 2. Tanaka up top now…Balls over and head butts him. Balls up top…superplex by Balls gets 2. Tanaka has a chair now…Balls has his chair. CHAIR FIGHT! Kick by Tanaka and he misses a shot. BALLS KILLS him with the chair and covers for 2.

This is also under EXTREME RULES~! The crowd tosses Cena’s shirt back to him repeatedly! They even spit and wipe their ass with it and then toss it back! Toilet paper as well and the Fuck You Cena chants begin.

Lock up and they stalemate and then got to the corner. Rights by Cena and he starts to beat down RVD. Irish whip and a boot and fisherman’s suplex for 2 by Cena. “You can’t wrestle chants” now. Cena smiles and they lock up again. Headlock by Cena, off the ropes and a shoulder block to RVD. Spin kick by RVD and Cena to the floor. Cena back in now and they go nose to nose. They exchange rights and the crowd chants along. RVD takes Cena down and off the ropes…powerslam by Cena for 2. Cena clotheslines RVD to the floor as the crowd chants, “Same old shit.” Cena up top…and an ax handle to RVD on the floor. Cena slams RVD to the ring apron and they brawl around ringside. Cena holds up his title and then RVD kicks him and gets a standing moonsault from the ring steps. RVD gets a chair…but Cena nails him and rams him into a cameraman. He then tosses RVD into the crowd! Cena follows and they brawl in the crowd. Cena tosses him back to ringside, RVD gets a kick and Cena is on the railing…spinning leg drop by RVD! Back in the ring, RVD gets Cena under the ropes and a sling shot leg drop follows. RVD has a chair now and gets the running dropkick to Cena in the corner. RVD covers for 2. Leg drop on Cena. He lays the chair on him…rolling thunder on Cena! RVD covers 1…2…NO! Slam by RVD…he gets the chair and lays it on Cena…split legged moonsault but Cena got the chair up! DDT by Cena on the chair and RVD’s neck bent in a BAD way. Cena covers for 2. Cena has the chair now and puts it in the corner. Catapult on RVD and he goes through the chair! Cena tosses him down and covers for 2. Cena with the PROTO BOMB! You can’t see me! 5-knuckle shuffle…connects. Crowd hates it and he stalks RVD…FU try…RVD escapes and gets a dropkick! RVD fights up but Cena with rights. Irish whip. Kick by RVD and he goes up top…powerbomb by Cena! 1…2…NO! Cena picks up RVD, counter and RBD tries to set him on the top tope, fails and Cena falls to the floor. They fight on the apron as the crowd gives Cena shit. RVD kicks him to the floor again and now goes for a table. He slides it in the ring and sets it in the corner. Cena gets a drop toehold and the STFU! RVD fights…crawls…and gets the ropes. The ref makes break and they argue. Cena is pissed and shoves him! He shoves back! He clotheslines the ref! RVD crotched on top. Cena up with him…SUPERPLEX and Cena goes and grabs part of the steps. He tosses them in the ring and picks them up. He KILLS RVD with the step and tosses them to the floor. He wants a ref and Nick Patrick is out and counts 2 as RVD kicks out. I smell a rotten finish. Cena sets for the FU…RVD has the ropes and then Cena tosses him to the floor. A man in black comes out and SPEARS Cena through the table. IT IS EDGE! He pulls Cena center ring and leaves. RVD back in now, he goes up top…FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! He grabs Patrick but he is out. Paul E is out! RVD covers and Paul counts the pin and RVD WINS!

Winner: and NEW ECW Champion RVD @ 20:45 via pin ***

Paul gives him the title as he is announced as the NEW ECW CHAMPION! RVD leaves through the crowd as Big Show and other ECW guys come out to the ring. RVD goes to his wife and hugs her and celebrates in the balcony. Paul has an evil smile on his face as RVD returns to the ring. We get replays of what happened with Edge coming out to spear Cena. They raise RVD on their shoulders and they stand tall. Good moment.

The 411: All in all it was a great show with a lot to love, no doubt a long way better than the brand PPV's that usually bore me to death. I did need to point out those things I did though, because most people are glossing over and saying how perfect the show was. I will guarantee that if this were a TNA PPV, they would have chastised the tag match and other things and say that they got ripped off. But that is what happens when you get jaded. Anyway, I'll go 8 out of 10 with a BIG recommendation to get the replay.
