411’s TNA IMPACT! Report 06.11.04
Welcome to The Best Damn TNA Recap: Ver. 2 for 411wrestling.com. Time for TNA’s 2nd show of the week, IMPACT! I say IMPACT like that because, well, it’s my job! I am really all of out of witty opening material, so let’s move on to other things.
To start, I would like to give a shout out to some of my readers: Chleo, TmcKnight, JobSquad, Ariani, Ne0 Raven and Abdul. Thanks for the fun emails guys!
Go check out DOUBLE M and the Smack Down Recap this week. I hear he legally changed his name to MM, but is working on a symbol. See, that is why MM is cutting edge! I am thinking of changing my name to a symbol, how about “$$”. You may call me CHA CHING! Moving on…
Remember, I don’t do star ratings, not my thing. My play by play is straight up, unless something just screams to be commented on in a sarcastic way, which I love to do. I have a good time, I mark out and yes I really enjoy TNA as well as the WWE and mostly all wrestling. So sit back and relax and enjoy The Best Damn TNA Recap: Ver. 2!
We are coming off of Wednesday’s PPV, which was a good show. Jeff Jarrett was crowned King of the Mountain and then had to deal with the 3 Live Krew in 3 different matches. AJ Styles and Frankie Kazarian had an AWESOME 19 minutes match until the last 25 seconds, but we will forget that happened. Also, who could forget the debut of the ZONKA-STRATOR! Let’s get to the show.
Tribute picture for Former President Regan is shown.
Highlights of Wednesday’s show, with AJ winning the X Division title, and Kid Kash and Dallas attacking afterward.
Tenay and West welcome us to Orlando and TNA Impact!
Match #1 “The Notorious K.I.D.” Kid Kash w/Dallas vs. The Amazing Red
Here we go! Kash yells at the crowd a bit, then talks smack to Red. Lock up to begin, and Kash shoves Red away. Red off the ropes, and gets an arm drag off the reversal. Red sends Kash to the floor with a spin kick, and follows up with a SWEET flip dive to the floor! Back in the ring they go, but Kash dumps Red to the floor, where Dallas attacks him. Red gets tossed back in the ring, and Kash gets a butterfly suplex, into a power bomb for 2. Kash follows with an Asia moonsault, then again. He goes all the way up, but Red gets the knees up! LEAPING Enziguri by Red, followed by the 718. Spring board elbow gets Red a 2 count! Red misses a corner charge, and Kash goes up top. Red follows, and they fight on top. TOP ROPE RANA BY RED! Red goes up top now, and MISSES the elbow drop! Kash gets double under hook pile driver for the win @ 4:12.
Good match. They worked real well together, and it had a nice flow. I could have handled another 2 or 3 minutes though.
Time for the Zonka-Strator of the week.

Here we will diagram the Amazing Red’s flip dive to the floor. The Amazing Red is in the white. The blue lines show that he runs off the ropes, and then charges back towards his opponent Kid Kash, in the lime green on the floor. He then leaps up, and does a full rotation and lands on the dazed opponent on the floor. This has been another installment of the Zonka-Strator.
Promos for Wednesday run.
Commercial time.
We are back! Shane Douglas is with The American Dream Dusty Rhodes, who is the judge for the X Division match this week. He loves the X Division, and calls it revolutionary. Vince Russo come out and asks to talk to Dusty in private.
Match #2 Frankie “The Future” Kazarian vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles ©
Tenay even says Wednesday’s decision was controversial. Lock up to start, and Kazarian just walks away. Again, and AJ gets a headlock take down. Kazarian gets a head scissors, but AJ nips out. AJ tries a drop kick, and misses. Kazarian off the ropes and AJ connects that time. AJ grabs Kazarian for the Clash, but Kazarian escapes. Kazarian charges, and is sent to the floor! AJ runs, but lands on the apron as Kazarian runs from the dive. Kazarian sling shots back in with a DDT and gets 2. Slam by Kazarian, slingshot leg drop gets 2! AJ tries to fight back, but Kazarian sends him to the corner, he tries to flip over, but Kazarian catches him and gets a bridging suplex for 2. Commercial time @ 3:08. We are back from commercial at 5:47 into the match with both men down. Back up and AJ gets a stiff clothesline, then a leaping Enziguri! AJ springboards into an inverted DDT FOR 2! AJ has Kazarian, but Kazarian reverses into the FUTURE SHOCK for 2! V picks up AJ, sends him to the corner, and AJ gets a boot. AJ gets him for the Styles Clash and NAILS IT for the win @ 7:26.
Kash and Dallas are in again to attack AJ. BLACKOUT from Dallas and they stomp away until security breaks it up.
It was good for what we saw, but nowhere as good as Wednesday night. They need to work on the commercial break timing, because we missed 2:40 of a 7:26 minute match.
David Young is shown backstage getting ready, and we go to another commercial.
We are back! Highlights of Jarrett’s coronation from Wednesday night as well as his battle with the 3 Live Krew.
Match #3 David Young and The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas) vs. The 3 Live Krew (Ron Killings, Konnan and BG James)
Konnan and Douglas to start. Douglas gets the advantage and pounds away on Konnan, but Konnan escapes and gets a clothesline to Douglas and sends Stevens to the floor. They then triple team Douglas, and Killings gets the leg drop to the nizzies. James in, and they get a sidekick combo to Douglas. The Naturals get James in the corner, and the naturals double-team him until James gets a double clothesline. Tag to Killings and then to Young. Killings with a flying forearm to Young, followed by an Ax kick for the quick win @ 2:43.
Nothing more than a squash to get over Young’s losing streak and to make 3 Live Krew look strong.
Jeff Jarrett comes out after the match, and he has something to say. He says he is the champ and mocks the crowd a bit. He tells the Krew to celebrate all they want, but they will never be the NWA Champ or The King of the Mountain. Here comes Dusty! Dusty has to talk to JJ. He says there is a problem, and Russo has “conversated” with Dusty. Is that a word? Anyway, Dusty has solved the problem, on June 23rd, the 2nd anniversary show; Ron Killings will get his title shot. Dusty reminds Killings that he is a MAN, and on the 23rd, THAT man will beat JJ for the NWA Title. Killings has a mic, he tells JJ that he may be on top, but there is a long fall awaiting him on the 23rd. Can he get an AMEN? AMEN says the crowd! JJ tells Killings to bring his crew, because JJ will bring his court and there will be a public execution this Wednesday!
Commercial time.
A D lo Brown promo airs.
Match #4 “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown vs. Sonny Siaki
Brown jumps Siaki and sends him to the floor to start. Brown sends him to the rail and follows up with a flurry of punches. Back in the ring, and Brown covers for 2. Running power slam to Siaki, and Brown and yells at the crowd. Goldi and Abyss look on from backstage, as Siaki fights back. A pair of clotheslines do nothing, but Siaki finally takes him down. Brown catches Siaki, but Siaki escapes. Off the ropes, Brown ducks under, and hits off of the other set of ropes and gets the POUNCE for the win @ 2:04.
Another squash. Brown has a lot of potential.
America’s Most Wanted video runs, showing a nice set of highlights.
Commercial time.
We are back. Highlights of Brian Urlacher’s appearance with TNA.
Tenay and West welcome us back, and talk of TNA’s first 2 years. They shill Wednesday night with AJ vs. Dallas, Team Canada vs. Team TNA in a flag match and AMW vs. Monty Brown and Abyss for the Tag Team Titles. The talk turns to Raven and his challenge to Raven. Apparently Sabu refuses to fight, because he promised the Sheik that they would never fight, as he mentored both.
Raven video package runs.
Commercial time.
We are back.
Match #5 Team Canada (Petey Williams, Bobby Rude and Eric Young) w/ Scott D’more vs. Team Mexico (Mr. Agulia, Heavy Metal and Abismo Negro
All 6 brawl to start. Agulia and Rude pair off, and Agulia leaves and decides to fly to the floor onto Williams. Negro and Williams back in the ring, and Williams gets a RANA, but Negro rolls through and gets 2! Slam to Williams, and tags to Agulia. Williams reverses Agulia, and gets a leg lariat for 2. Rude is in now, and goes to work on Agulia. Rude pounds away on Agulia, and follows with a snap suplex for 2. Young in, and gets a back breaker to Agulia, who really needs the tag. Young takes him to the corner, and just pummels him to the mat. D’more pulls Agulia’s hair, and Williams over with a kick to Agulia’s head. Young with a kick, and gets 2. Tag to Williams, Agulia with a springboard flip, and tags Negro who tales everyone out! Slam to Rude gets 2. All 6 men are in now, as we have a huge brawl. Hip tosses to Young and Williams. Negro and Agulia DIVE OUT ONTO WILLIAMS AND YOUNG! Metal walks into a power slam by Rude for 2. Metal fights back and gets a straight kick to Rude for 2. Metal up top, and D’more NAILS him with the Hockey Stick. Rude takes advantage, and nails Metal with a Death Valley Driver for the win @ 5:35.
Team Canada beat down Team Mexico now, but HECTOR GARZA IS OUT! He takes down Williams but the numbers are too much, and Team Mexico continues to take the beat down. HERE COMES TEAM TNA! They start to beat down Team Canada and we fade…
Fun little match. I wish Garza had been in there, as he always brings the goods, but still fun. This was a great teaser to make people want to see the Flag match in what will no doubt be a crazy match.
Not a bad show by any means. I think they need to stick to 4 matches, as I don’t think people really want to see 2 squash matches. They are doing a good job of familiarizing the audience with more of the roster, and overall another good effort.
If you want to read more from me, take a trip over HERE! Thanks for joining me this week for Impact. Keep the feed back coming, and until next time, I am Larry Csonka and you know you want to be a Zonkamaniac~!
