Dana White Said Georges St-Pierre vs. Conor McGregor Wasn’t Close to Happening

Dana White spoke with MMAjunkie about Georges St-Pierre’s just-announced return fight against Michael Bisping. White said that while there were several potential offers for St-Pierre’s return, a fight with Conor McGregor wasn’t a big consideration.

“(We were) not even close (to making a fight between McGregor and St-Pierre),” White said. “Georges said he could make 155 pounds. But let’s be honest here – everyone wants to take a shot at Michael Bisping. They think he’s beatable, and obviously Georges St-Pierre is no different. So he’s going to step up and try to take his 185-pound title.”

GSP will face Bisping in a fight later this year, though the specific date or location has not yet been revealed.
