411’s WWE Table for 3 Report: Show Stealers

-Back at it with the latest episode of Table for 3 and this time we get Shane McMahon, AJ Styles, and Kurt Angle.

-I assume this was shot over WrestleMania weekend when they usually do a whole batch of these shows.

-Shane is excited to be doing the show and says he was pushing to get this done because he has been in the ring with both of these guys. Kurt says he never thought it a million years that AJ would end up in the WWE and Kurt mentions TNA when discussing all the matches he had with AJ.

-They discuss AJ vs Shane at Mania and AJ says that Shane was pushing for them to have the first match. He knew that they could get more time going first and have the hot crowd. They were given 25 minutes and were told not to go long. That is part of the reason why Shane ran down to the ring.

-OH MAN! WE HAVE TNA FOOTAGE ON THE WWE NETWORK as Shane talks about a Last Man Standing match that Kurt and AJ had at Hard Justice 2008. What a crazy world we live in as they show highlights from the match with the GWN logo in the lower right corner. DON WEST HAS MADE THE WWE NETWORK.

-They talk about the finish to the match and joke about AJ being light with his shots. That goes to talk of Shane working stiff. That leads to the Shane/Angle match at King of the Ring where Shane caught Kurt stiff with a punch and it legit pissed Angle off. Kurt talks about how each of them got hurt in that match and ended up in the hospital. They were young and wanted to steal the show.

-Shane points out that Kurt took the suplex on the floor in their match and in the Hard Justice one (again, crazy they are showing this). It was just in the match with him where he broke his tailbone. Kurt brings up throwing Shane through the glass and we only get photos. They were shocked it wasn’t sugar glass and later found out it was because they were worried what the pyro would do to it.

-They show Shane bouncing off the glass and hitting his skull on the concrete floor in a sickening bump. Shane apparently called Kurt an “Olympic Wuss” and that gave Kurt enough energy to get Shane through the glass. Back through Kurt ditched the suplex idea and just fired Shane face first.

-Shane talks about the standing ovation from the crowd and the boys and how it was the highest of highs. Immediately he went to the lowest of lows when he turned and saw his wife crying. Vince was legit pissed and he nearly stopped the match on 3 different occasions. Shane talks about that it made sense to have that violence in the match as they had a good story they were telling.

-Kurt wants to talk training and Shane says that he chases his kids around the house. AJ says he had to learn what his body can do and we get DDP Yoga footage (with that logo in the corner). Kurt says that he does more stretching and yoga now. Kurt asks AJ if he lifts weights and AJ says he does which gives Shane a chance to get in a crack.

-AJ mentions that he has never seen Angle blow-up even when he tried. Shane puts over Kurt being an Olympic Gold Medalist and Kurt is just taking in all the compliments.

-They discuss families and Kurt has a small army with his kids. He is scared because he will be nearly 70 when his last one graduates high school. AJ talks about his little girl and how she was the surprise of the family. He says that girls are smarter than the boys as they think about things, while boys just do and don’t care.

-Shane talks about how his boys never got to see him wrestle live and he didn’t think it would happen until Vince called him about facing Taker at Mania. Shane talks about being with his boys 10 minutes before the match and he asked them to come out on stage with him. They show him asking them and you can see the joy on their faces. Shane couldn’t help but laugh as his kids were into it and doing his dance and one of them started posing like Hogan. Too funny!

-Kurt says that AJ is quite possibly the best wrestler in the world right now and AJ plays that off as you know he is too humble for that. Shane agrees and Kurt says that AJ is great because he has the ability to keep learning. Kurt puts AJ over for being teachable and being open to hear what he can do to make himself better.

-They talk about Kurt’s crazy rise in the WWE and how he took his first ever bump in late 98 and in less that 2 years was beating The Rock for the WWE Title. They show Kurt’s celebration after winning the match and it is fantastic as JR screams “this is making me sick.”

-Shane brings up that Kurt’s start on RAW was in Pittsburgh and he told Shane before the show that he is a hero in this city. He won’t be booed by these fans, and Shane told him that he will be booed out of the building. Kurt came back shocked that his hometown crowd booed him. Kurt doesn’t know if that character would have worked as well until that night when he learned that even his home city would boo him.

-Kurt says that he loves being a heel more than a face as he could make an ass of himself. Shane talks about how you can be so entertaining as a heel that the crowd will start cheering you again like has happened with The Rock. AJ says that in this point in his career he enjoys being a babyface and likes taking pictures with kids. Shane thinks he likes being a heel better because you get to set the tone and he likes antagonizing.

-They wrap things up with handshakes and discuss the idea of having a Triple Threat. Shane says he can get knocked out early and let them do the work before his comeback. AJ feels the match would just be an excuse for them to throw him around the ring. Kurt mocks Shane for his dance before we end and asks him how much longer is he doing to do it. They all laugh as this episode closes.

-Fantastic episode with all 3 guys coming off well and telling some good stories. Obviously the newsworthy item is that TNA footage with Don West commentary showed up on the WWE Network. Definitely check this episode out!
