Bojack Horseman Is First Netflix Series To Get Syndication Deal
TVLine reports that Comedy Central has obtained the rerun rights for Netflix’s series Bojack Horseman, the first time a Netflix series has received any kind of syndication deal. Season one episodes will debut on Comedy Central on September 26 at 9:30 PM ET, after the season 22 premiere of South Park. Select episodes will also be available on the Comedy Central website and app.
Comedy Central general manager Tanya Giles said: “Comedy Central has a long history of using potent satire to help make sense of trying times, so BoJack Horseman is a perfect fit in our lineup. We’re thrilled to be the first to put BoJack on linear TV, and who better than an animated horse to teach us a thing or two about humanity? Straight from the horse’s mouth.”
The series debuted in August 2014 and the fifth season arrives on September 14. The series stars Will Arnett as BoJack Horseman, a former sitcom star who falls on hard times thanks to alcohol abuse and self-loathing. It also features the voices of Aaron Paul, Alison Brie, Paul F. Tompkins and Amy Sedaris.
