Floyd Mayweather Set For Fight on Rizin FF’s New Year’s Eve Event

Floyd Mayweather is returning to the ring for a fight against kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin’s New Year’s Eve show. Rizin announced the news during a press conference in Japan, per MMAjunkie.

The rules of the fight were not announced, though Mayweather said that the rules would be finalized soon This will be Mayweather’s first fight since he beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match in August of 2017.

“It’s always been a goal of mine to go outside the U.S. and go into another arena and display my talent as a professional, because I did it as an amateur,” Mayweather said. “Now it’s different as a professional. It’s great. I want to say congratulations to Tenshin and Rizin and just everybody for backing this event.”

Rizin FF 13 takes place on December 31st at Saitama Super Arena.
