Return Of the Living Dead Teaser Reveals Tarman’s Return, Release Date
The Return Of the Living Dead franchise is returning, with the first teaser revealing Tarman’s return and a Christmas 2025 release date. Living Dead Media announced on Friday that a new film in the franchise is set to release on Christmas next year via the preview video, which you can check out below. It features Tarman, the most famous of the zombies from the franchise, dragging a Christmas tree out of a graveyard on his way to, assumedly, terrorizing the living.
The film is written and directed by Steve Wolsh, CEO of Living Dead Media, and is a neither a reboot nor a remake but instead a “brand new adventure” in the franchise that is set a year and a half after the Dan O’Bannon-directed original. Tony Gardner is during the zombie look and the announcement noted that the teaser was “produced without CGI or greenscreen, using all practical effects, shot on location.”
The new film is described as follows:
Taking place 18 months after the events at the UNEEDA Warehouse in Louisville, KY, a new Trioxin 2-4-5 leak puts a small Pennsylvania town on the brink of a zombie outbreak during Christmas, 1985. If surviving a zombie outbreak isn’t hard enough, the characters and the Army will have to also contend with blizzard conditions. This Christmas, it’s Tarman who will be coming to town.
