UPDATE: Konnan Reportedly Hospitalized, Believed To Have Contracted COVID-19

UPDATE: In an update, AAA announcer Hugo Savinovich (via Lucha Libre Online) reported that Konnan was not admitted to a hospital for a kidney issue, but because he contracted COVID. While he was in danger at one point, it’s believed that he is safe now and expected to be discharged today or tomorrow.

The post reads: “As Hugo Savinovich has just reported, Konnan has confirmed to us that he unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19, which is why he is hospitalized. “He recognized that his life was in danger. At this moment, he is out of danger and hopes to be given a medical discharge between today and tomorrow to be able to continue treatment from home. Konnan is in our prayers as his family, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

Original: During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that Konnan has been hospitalized due to a kidney issue. The Mexican wrestling legend had a kidney transplant in 2007. It was noted that the situation is “fairly serious” and it “doesn’t sound particularly good.”
