Keanu Reeves Says He’d Love To Do Another Constantine

Keanu Reeves has said he’s interested in revisiting his role of John Constantine from the 2005 film adaptation. Reeves played DC’s sardonic occultist in the film adaptation of the then-Vertigo character, which was not a hit in theaters but has since become a cult favorite. Speaking with Esquire for a new video, he said he enjoyed the role and would love revisiting it.

“I love playing Constantine. John Constantine,” Reeves said(per CS.net). “I’ve played a lot of Johns. How many Johns have I played? I don’t even know. I think it’s over ten. But anyway, I’d love to have the chance to play Constantine again.”

Though there have been rumors of a potential sequel to the Reeves-starring film, there are no known current plans to develop such a film. DC is reportedly developing a Constantine series for HBO Max that would tie into the in-development Justice League Dark series.
