Alex Shelley Retains Title at Impact Slammiversary, Josh Alexander Returns
The main event of Impact Slammiversary last night featured Alex Shelley retaining the Impact World title and the return of Josh Alexander. Shelley kept the title by defeating Nick Aldis. After the match, Alexander made his surprise return and announced that he’s back. Alexander is a former World Champion. He never lost the belt and was forced to give it up due to a triceps injury back in March.
Shelley has been World champion for 37 days and is in his first reign.
