A second spin-off series from The Batman is being considered, according to producer Dylan Clark. Clark, who is The Batman director Matt Reeves’ producing partner, spoke with EW as a part of a feature on the upcoming The Penguin series and noted that another TV “exploration” is set to be done looking at the setting of Gotham and how it relates to the superhero who guards it.

“There’s another television exploration we’re going to do,” Clark told the site. “We’re looking at this entire world as it relates to who Batman is — the antagonists around them, all the crime that has to be navigated in the city — and trying to figure out where are the areas that are best to explore.”

The Batman was a bright spot for DC in 2022, grossing $772.2 million against a $185 million budget and earning highly positive reviews. In addition to The Penguin, a direct sequel film is in the works and will release in 2026. One spin-off series, a GCPD procedural series, was being developed but was eventually abandoned.
