CM Punk Joins Cast of Syfy Series Revival
Variety reports that CM Punk has joined the cast of the upcoming Syfy horror series Revival in a recurring role. The show was picked up in May and is based on the Image Comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. Production is ongoing in New Brunswick, Canada. Details on Punk’s role are unknown at this time.
Punk joins a cast that includes Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, Steven Ogg and Andy McQueen.
Here’s a synopsis: On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the ‘revived’ appear and act just like they once were. When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress (Scrofano) is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.”
The series was developed by Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce, who are the executive producers and showrunners. Other executive producers include Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Daniel March, Melanie Scrofano, Greg Hemmings, and Stephen Foster.
