Powerhouse Hobbs Hopes To Help People By Telling His Story In AEW

Powerhouse Hobbs hopes that his success in AEW is an inspiration to kids going through a tough childhood. Hobbs went through a number of difficult times growing up and always looked to wrestling as an inspiration. He spoke with KansasCity.com for a new interview ahead of this week’s Dynamite and said that he hopes to do the same for others. You can see some highlights below:
On returning to Kansas City with as trios champion:
“The last time I was in KC I didn’t have a title. “It’s definitely rewarding. Coming back somewhere I didn’t have a championship gold, now it shows I’m progressing and I’m getting better.”
On inspiring people with his story:
“I know there is someone out there who’s been in my position, or is in my position, that will look up to me. And hopefully, I can help them out. You know, that’s my duty.”
On wanting to pave the way for others to follow:
“For me, it’s about paving the way for others. You know, what can I add? It’s almost like looking at it like the yellow brick road. What bricks can I lay down so someone else can step on it?”
AEW Dynamite airs tomorrow night live on TBS and HBO Max. The Opps will defend their titles against LFI on the three-hour show.
