Saya Kamitani had a successful night at Stardom’s Crimson Nightmare event on Monday. She defeated Momo Watanabe to retain her NJPW Strong Women’s and World of Stardom Championships. Of course this led to future challengers stepping up, and we already know who Kamitani will be facing next.

Saori Anou will challenge for the World of Stardom Championship at Dream Queendom 2025, which takes place on December 29 at Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. Kamitani will remain in Tokyo to defend the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship against Syuri. This match will take place at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026 in the Tokyo Dome. Syrui will be defending her IWGP Women’s Championship as well in what could be a unification match.

The winner of that match could have three women’s championships, placing them nine behind Mercedes Mone. Mone is a former NJPW Strong & IWGP Women’s Champion but has yet to hold the World of Stardom Championship. Saya Kamitani might want to keep her head on a swivel, that’s all I’m saying here.
