ECW & ROH Alumnus Tony DeVito Announces His Retirement

ECW alumnus Tony DeVito is hanging up the boots, announcing that he’s retired from the ring. Devito competed at Absolute Intense Wrestling’s show on Saturday and announced that he would be retiring from the ring.

DeVito told the audience that due to a recent stroke in his eye, his doctors told him he could not wrestle anymore. You can see the full video below.

DeVito entered the wrestling business in 1991 and was trained by David Schultz. After working as an enhancement talent for WWE, he made his name in ECW as a member of Da Baldies. He joined ROH in 2002 soon after the company launched and had a reign as ROH Tag Team Champion with H.C. Loc.

DeVito went into semi-retirement in 2005 but worked occasionally after. He made two appearances on WWE’s ECW in 2006.
