Former TNA talent Jake Something recently debuted in All Elite Wrestling. Interestingly, he is using his real-life name, Jake Doyle, in AEW.

In a recent Q&A session with PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, a fan wondered if Jake not using his TNA in-ring name in AEW is a trademark issue or if it’s just a case of Tony Khan wanting to have him perform under his real-life name.

Johnson stated that it was indeed Khan’s call to have the 36-year-old perform as Jake Doyle, adding that there was no trademark issue whatsoever.

Doyle had two separate stints with TNA Wrestling between 2017 and 2025. He initially left the company in March 2022 and made his AEW in-ring debut against Jay Lethal in May of that year. However, he eventually returned to TNA at Slammiversary 2023. Doyle’s contract with the promotion ended on New Year’s Day, drawing curtains on his second stint.

The Michigan native subsequently signed with AEW, and on the January 7, 2026, episode of Dynamite, he was announced as the newest member of The Don Callis Family after he attacked JetSpeed off-screen. At Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, Jake Doyle and Mark Davis defeated Gates of Agony, The Young Bucks, and JetSpeed in a four-way tag team match to earn a shot at FTR’s World Tag Team Championship.
