Booker T Admits Voicing Himself in WWE 2K26 Was Tougher Than He Thought

Booker T has opened up about his new role in WWE 2K26, revealing that recording commentary for the game proved more demanding than he initially expected. The WWE Hall of Famer recently discussed the experience in a promotional video released by 2K Games.

Booker T joins the commentary lineup in WWE 2K26 alongside Wade Barrett and other broadcast voices featured in the game. His role involves recording hundreds of lines designed to react to in-ring action, storyline scenarios, and specific wrestler moments. According to Booker, the process required far more reading and repetition than he originally anticipated.

“Man, it’s been an awesome experience working with 2K, finally getting my voice in the game. I think I bit off a little more than I could chew, though. I know it’s more reading than I’ve ever done in my life. I use a lot of the quotes from the video game on NXT, so it’s actually pretty cool.”

For the Hall of Famer, the project represents another side of his long relationship with WWE. While he built his reputation through championship success inside the ring, his commentary voice now reaches a new generation of fans.

“I’ve had a great career, so many people remember me from my wrestling career. So many kids come up to me now and they recognize me from being a commentator, and a lot of them didn’t even know I was a wrestler. Now in the video game, I’m immortalized as a commentator, so I think it’s pretty awesome.”

The addition of new voices has drawn attention from fans following the WWE 2K series. Commentary updates often play a key role in refreshing the overall presentation from one edition to the next. Early previews of WWE 2K26 suggest Booker’s distinctive delivery will feature prominently during gameplay.
