In a new video from Fall Damage, AEW star Kenny Omega was quizzed on the best quotes in video game history, testing his knowledge of characters such as Mario, Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII, Sans in Undertale, and more. He also answered questions about his career and spoke about his favorite games.

Additionally, Omega reveals that he personally called WWE Superstar and former AEW wrestler Cody Rhodes about being cast as Guile in the new Street Fighter movie. Below are some highlights:

Kenny Omega on Taking Inspiration From Sephiroth for His Entrance at Wrestle Kingdom 18

“I take a lot of nods and a lot of inspiration from video game characters, and Sephiroth has always been one of my most favorite villains in all of video game history. I was lucky enough to even come out to a rendition of Onewing Angel at the Tokyo Dome. One of my favorite entrances of all time. Boy, I would have been the proudest of all frauds if I couldn’t get that one right.”

His Favorite Wrestling Video Game

“Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, I would say, is the best wrestling game of all time. Both for the roster and for the wrestling and mixed martial arts mechanics to it. If AEW were ever to get back into the mix with video games. We had the director of the Aki Engine games, of course, who was — we were lucky enough to have him as an adviser for our original project, but I always really wanted him to have more power, more ability to control and to control the narrative and flow of the game.”

On Congratulating Cody Rhodes for Being Cast as Guile in the Street Fighter Movie

“We’ve actually got another Street Fighter movie. I remember one of the first things I did when it was being released saw that Cody was going to play Guile. I gave him a message, and I said to him, I said, ‘Hey, hey, Codes.’ I said, ‘I just want to say, congrats. And I know the old me would have been just fuming. He would have been jealous. He would have been upset that you got this role, but I’m just excited and happy for you,’ and if there is a Street Fighter 2, then absolutely, I’d love to play Alex, but I would need to know in advance cuz I would have to do something about packing on like 50 to 60 pounds of lean muscle mass.”

Of course, Omega recently worked on Street Fighter 6 for Capcom, performing the motion capture work for Alex.
